In the sea of laptop backing tracks and record perfect renditions, Pevin Kinel breaks away from the pack with his very own style of improvisation. Taking a somewhat Houdinian approach to music, his performances are about taking risks and impromptu. Using a live sampler with an array of instruments, including synth, bass, guitar, clarinet and his voice, he builds up accompaniments on the spot, which he then chops up, shreds and turns into something else. Every gig is a chasm of sounds where Pevin Kinel walks the wire of his creativity.
